There are so many people that love the Hummer especially kids

But

There are also some people who do not like the Hummer

Because of the gas mileage but if you own and run a big operation you must eliminate extra expenses, costs and keep

Efficiency We need at least 3 cars for our business and charity operations but by having a Hummer

we save so much in gas, insurance, downtown parking, maintenance bills etc…

rather than having 3 vehicles we just have one good one

One of the Most necessary uses of the Hummer is when we go out to serve in Toronto during the Winter, it is brutal

2007-12-03 Snow day 009

It gets so cold that I just pray sometimes as we go out during the coldest time of the night and when it snows there is absolutely no way

We would be able to reach everyone with four feet of snow without the heavy duty vehicle, everything takes twice as long

These are the times my beautiful homeless friends NEED me the most because they also cannot get anywhere

They just starve in the cold

I have a very good friend Robert, I gave him his street name, it is

Robert the Shakespeare

Robert writes stories and he sells them

I remember one morning of fall 2007 I was walking on Queen Street  I saw Robert panhandling

I said ‘hello’ he said ‘hello’

he was trying to sell one of his poems

I said ‘no thank you but would you like a

 McDonald’s breakfast?’

He said

 ‘YES, I’D LOVE ONE’

So we ate breakfast at McDonald’s together

Then his work grew on me and I purchased one of his poems

My favourite writers are Shakespeare and Hafez.

Blow, Blow, thou winter wind
Thou art not so unkind,
As man's ingratitude.

Be great in act, as you have been in thought.

Taking a Riddle into the Tavern

For many years my heart wanted
something for me,.
not knowing that it was itself
what it wanted:

the desire for Jamshid's cup,
wherein all existence can be seen,
except for that chalice itself, that is.

There was a man beloved of God
who cried out to God, "Why
have you forsaken me?"

I took the riddle of this into a tavern
and asked the one who served.

He said, "Some secrets must be kept,
not told to the world at large.
The rosebud and the soul write mysteries
on their margins fold within fold.
Stay closed and wait."

"Your wine glass is the all-revealing cup!"

"Given before the creation."

"And what of that woman there
that I cannot forget?"

"Hafez," said the tavernmaster, "this love
within you that speaks needs
some restraint!"

Are one of our necessary leading perspectives for humanity

Sometimes without knowing we could easily end up in the opposite end and

when we do the consequences are so great

Not only for our lives and relationships

But also for our

CHARACTER

I see the talents of my homeless brother

ROBERT

He can play with words from such a great perspective that

Not only can he make people feel and touch people’s hearts in a beautiful way,

But also his point of views have a lot to do with the

TRUTH

Just like Shakespeare and Hafez,

It is so unfortunate to see all that talent on the

 sidewalk in the freezing

 COLD

ONE

really Cold winter night

I was serving all my friends and I saw Robert, I gave him a

Hot Tea

and he said ‘ABBAS I have this for you’

And he gave me this

POEM

2009

It really touched my heart so I said Robert

‘I will buy it, and as I was trying to get my wallet out to pay for it he said

‘no I don’t want money this is for you’

I was so touched

AGAIN,

He was panhandling and trying to sell his Poems

yet he sacrificed his opportunity of receiving

for giving, and gratitude

of a hot cup tea

Robert’s poems

gave me

 LOVE, FAITH and a reminder

that in this world

There is no Justice for

the poorest of the poor

as seen

from my window

the slushy shuffling along

of weary homeless

aimless, wandering

justice

is HARD TO FIND

just is

the way

it is

…and GOD  DID NOT

smile

at us when

it was

a  cold winter night

outside

a homeless man, woman and elders

Shivered

While we sat in our warm home

 and

DID NOT DO ANYTHING

And then

A Scene

As Robert seen

It was

A cold winter night

Outside

A homeless man

Shivered

YOU CAN COME

And offer them

A hot cup

Of  coffee
