One of my favourite stories is

He went to jail for 19 years for stealing a piece of bread

I see my friends on the street going to jail for months because they ask for a piece of bread.

One of my Homeless Australian friends

sleeps under a bridge.

I remember last year a garbage truck hit a small car near where he slept. The car caught on fire and he woke up and ran to the car. He saved the woman inside and burnt all of his hands. He was a hero but not only did he not get any award or recognition for his heroic action, a few days later he got arrested for six months for panhandling.

Living on the streets is incredibly hard

In the cold without a bathroom, shower, kitchen, healthy meal, bed or privacy.

People live with absolutely no respect or justice.

They live in a community where they all have the same need and sometimes they steal from one other.

Once while I was pouring Tea for a man, someone was trying to steal his sleeping bag while he was waiting beside the Hummer, the other guy got caught and was very ashamed

but he was so tired, cold and had no money, He just wanted to sleep.

Sometimes I feel like we have travelled in a time machine

We came all this way forward in time but we left all these people living on the streets behind.

We see them but our life has NO TIME for them.

My Sister Tammy and Chris are two people that I serve in the early morning almost every day.

She is always happy to receive the Sandwiches, water, cookies, chocolate and hot Tea.

One night after serving her food she asked for socks & clothes so I gave her socks and clothes.

She said Thank You over and over again, then said

‘ABBAS nobody else comes to feed us, nobody else.

Do you know what will happen if you don’t come to feed us with your Hummer?’

I was joking and said ‘You will stay hungry’

She responded ‘No,

We go STEAL food from stores’

Chris agreed and said ‘We have no money

We are very hungry’.

I was very surprised when I heard that.

It was such a busy night

City hall was packed with people lying down on card-board boxes and

Some people were sleeping indoors near the elevators, that night a

came to me and said

‘I was talking to my girlfriend and I noticed you, I know that you are doing a great thing but

these people steal and go to the bathroom in the stairways.

Why do you help them?

They do not deserve it,

They are criminals’

I said to him, twenty minutes ago my sister Tammy and Chris told me if I don’t bring sandwiches for them they go steal

You see

If there is crime in society, it is because there is no justice

Who is the society?

It is you, me, we are the society.

If we do not Care

If we do not Give

If we do not Love

It will be a CRIME

And that

CRIME causes other CRIMES.

The security guard agreed with me very much and then took off his security gloves, reached out, and shook my hand.

He then turned around and walked away with a big Smile on his face.

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A city law that bans begging for money on street corners violates the constitutional right to free speech —this a Jackson County judge ruled when finding an anti-panhandling ordinance in Medford, Ore., unconstitutional.

The ordinance prohibits the solicitation of money at intersections and other locations.

Judge Lorenzo Mejia ruled that it violates the Oregon Constitution which prohibits the passage of laws restricting freedom of speech.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon challenged the ordinance.

Executive director David Fidanque said that if the city doesn't appeal, panhandlers should be able to resume seeking money at intersections and freeway off-ramps —

as long as they don't violate traffic laws while doing so.

People are often Unreasonable and self centered.

Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind people may accuse you of ulterior motives.

Be kind anyway.

If you are honest people may cheat you.

Be honest anyway.

If you find happiness, people may be jealous.

Be happy anyway.

The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.

Give your best anyway.

For you see, in the end, it is between you and

It was never between you and them anyway.
